WALES

Wales is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain, which is bordered by England in the east. This country has a great history and beautiful landscapes. Wales has 3 national parks and 5 protected areas of incredible beauty. But beside the beautiful landscapes, Wales has urban busy streets, traditional welsh villages and lots of interesting tourist sites.

Many citizens speak one of the most ancient languages – the Welsh language – the language of the native people of the peninsula. Wales is a country with a rich cultural and historical heritage which includes various myths and legends composed by its citizens. Not without reason is Wales called “the castle capital of the world”. There are 641 castles here which have a historical prominence.
