EKATERINA  SEMENIKHINA

  Ekaterina Alekseevna Semenikhina (born 1971) is a collector of Russian art, philanthropist, economist. Semenikhin is the Honorary Consul of Russia in the Principality of Monaco. In 2002 Ekaterina together with her husband Vladimir Semenikhin founded the Foundation for the promotion of art in Russia and through it support exhibitions in state museums and galleries. The Foundation was named Catherine's Cultural Foundation. He held international exhibitions, such as the avant-garde exhibition "Jack of diamonds" in the Tretyakov gallery in 2004 and the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg in 2005.
  In 2007 Semenikhin opened a private exhibition hall in the center of Moscow. The work of the Foundation is carried out in several areas — exhibition and publishing activities, the creation of a collection of contemporary art, support for cultural and educational projects.
Since its Foundation, the EKATERINA cultural Foundation has been actively cooperating with state museums, art centers, foundations and other institutions, both in Russia and abroad.

   In January 2016, she was awarded the order of Friendship in Russia for her participation in the year of Russia in Monaco. Public activities were awarded the prize for achievements in the field of culture (2011), the ARCO prize of the International art collection in February 2011, the Russian order of Friendship (2016), the order of St. Charles (2017).
