ANNA NETREBKO

 

  Anna Yuryevna Netrebko (born in 1971) - is Russian and Austrian Opera singer (soprano). People's artist of Russia (2008), laureate of the state prize of the Russian Federation (2004), Hero of labour of Kuban (2006).
At the beginning of her singing career, Anna Netrebko's voice was classified as a lyric-coloratura soprano. By the second decade of the 21st century, the voice had evolved into a lyrical-dramatic soprano (according to other sources, from lyrical to dramatic soprano).

  Since 1993 she has been singing at the Mariinsky theatre. Her American debut took place in 1995 at the Opera San Francisco (Lyudmila in "Ruslan and Lyudmila" by M. Glinka), in 2002, she first performed at the Salzburg festival (Donna Anna in "don Giovanni" by W.A. Mozart) and "the Metropolitan Opera" (Natasha in Prokofiev's "War and peace"). Anna Netrebko-a welcome guest of the Vienna Opera and Covent garden, La Scala and the Bavarian Opera, performs concerts around the world. A. Netrebko the recipient of numerous awards and prizes.
