YURI GRIGOROVICH 

 Grigorovichis Yury Nikolayevich (born in 1927) - Soviet and Russian choreographer, choreographer, ballet dancer, teacher, publicist. In 1947-1957 was a soloist with the Leningrad theater of Opera and ballet named after Kirov, in 1961-1964 was the choreographer of this theater. Chief choreographer of the Bolshoi theatre in 1964-1995, since 2008 - his staff choreographer. Hero Of Socialist Labor (1986). People's artist of the USSR (1973). Laureate of the Lenin prize (1970), two state prizes of the USSR (1977, 1985), the state prize of the Russian Federation (2017) and two prizes of the Russian Government (2002, 2011). Holder of the order of St. Andrew (2017). Winner of many other awards and prizes.

  One of the most prominent choreographers of the XX century[3][3]. He is the author of eight original ballets created in collaboration with the artist Simon Virsaladze, as well as revisions of almost all classical ballets that form the basis of the repertoire of the Bolshoi theater.
