Information about the Greenwich area from the partner of the AECA Museum - Russian-British Cultural Club

As you know, it is in Greenwich that the zero meridian passes, from which the time and time zones of the entire globe are counted. The Greenwich area is closely linked to the British Navy and its history. The Greenwich area is located in southeast London and is located on the south bank of the River Thames. Many government and commercial organizations are located along the Thames waterfront. Greenwich combines ancient traditions and modern trends, the hustle and bustle of a big city, and at the same time the possibility of a calm measured life. Opposite Greenwich is the actively developing business center Canary Wharf, there are also UNESCO sites, the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park, Royal Maritime Hospital, The Tide Linear Park, University of Greenwich. This area has developed transport links, well-groomed squares and parks, all kinds of galleries, theaters, various shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. At the moment, the majority of Greenwich residents are from the business community.
